As the current networking technology progress, simulating network for proof of concept is getting difficult by just using a common workstation, and having a dedicated server is also an issue for the usual home with no space to spare and with noise, these dedicated server generates.
With this in mind I opted to build my HomeLab using a consumer grades desktop setup, which could also as a gaming PC.
Having decided with this direction, I’ll build the PC using the following parts.
